Wesley James Baptism

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

We are so honored to be godparents of Wesley James Hudson and to be a part of his special day. The sweetest thing was Wes started getting a little fussy when it came time for him to be baptized (Cami even went and got a paci for him during the prayer) but when the pastor poured the water on his head, he immediately went from a cry to a calm coo and completely quiet. So cute and something I want to remember forever.

Weekend at Shanty Creek

This marks the third time we've made a trip to Shanty Creek with the Hudsons. What a great weekend yet again. Wendy is one of the coolest girls I know, not only because she's got a great personality and is super fun to hang with (especially on the golf course) but she's one of the few women I know that can get through 36 holes of golf in one day and absolutely love it. The previous two times at Shanty we've played against the boys, but because of our late tee times, we never had a chance to finish. This time we got the earliest tee times available so we were able to get our full games in - the first 18 skins, the second 18 a scramble. This year the bet was bigger and better than ever - a full girls/boys day out including spending money. Whoever lost would watch the kids together while the other party does whatever.

And by the first few pictures below, you can tell who won! Whooohooo! By the way, Wendy, we better plan our massages soon :) Great job partner!

The boys wanted a victory so bad and it came down to the last hole, but they just couldn't bring it.
Andy was upset by the defeat and needed a few moments to get himself together and be friends with me and Wendy again.
A few shots from the day....
Catepillars were EVERYWHERE at Cedar River this year. Due to Michigan budget cuts they didn't spray this year and it was really disgusting. There were probably 10 catepillars per square feet ALL over the entire fairways and greens. At one point 6 of them crawled on my pants - it was hard to concentrate on the game at certain points. Obviously Jennifer Granholm doesn't golf or they would have found some sort of budget to spray. Maybe next year!
I lost a ball in the creek and thought it would be a simple in and out to reach for my ball. Little did I know the shallow creek was not so shallow. The clear water looked like it was about a foot deep - it actually was about 3 or 4 feet! It made for a refreshing soak in the middle of the game!

Yes...

Yes, this is Andy. Yes, he has our two-year old in the Baby Bjorn. Yes, he's blowing leaves.

Lazy or Intelligent? You be the judge. But for those of you who have or who have had a toddler that is scared of high powered lawn equipment, you may lean more toward thinking it's quite creative and hilarious like I did. I just hope our neighbors didn't see them!

Trip to the flower shop

Every year I find I'm way over my head when it comes to planting spring flowers...not only do I find it hard to pick the perfect color flowers to match the house, but I find it difficult to judge when it's a good time to actually purchase and plant. In Michigan you never know when the frost is going to let up for good. It seems as though I am always either planting way to early or way too late. This year it seemed to work out well. I planted all my flowers around the house, and our garden, and so far neither the weather or myself has killed anything! Here's a couple cute shots of Cami helping me pick out some flowers!

Congratulations Katie and Mike!

Here's the beginning of my catching up!

We went to a beautiful wedding in Cincinatti. Our friends Mike and Katie had a beautiful wedding ceremony and awesome reception. Katie did an amazing job planning the wedding - everything down to the tiniest detail was planned to the nine! Because I couldn't narrow it down, here's a slideshow of some pics from our trip.

Oh so behind....new pics coming soon!

Oh my goodness! Since the end of the school year, summer is already flying by! I have lots of pics to post that I'm working on so stay tuned for several posts from the past couple weeks. We've been a busy bunch...

I also have lots of pics to post on my RK PHOTO BLOG! Just posted some new pics, so check them out. More to come on that blog as well from recent photo sessions.

What a boring post with no pics, but I felt I had to at least post something to let the blog world I didn't completely fall off the face of the earth.

Birthday Buddies

I guess since we've done this two years in a row now, we've started a tradition. And a good tradition it is. Our friends Karl and Lindsey had their first girl, Maddison, on the same day Cami was born - so both the girls share a birthday on May 14. Last year we took the girls out to dinner at Red Robin to celebrate and we decided to do the same this year. Who can resist bottomless fries?

Here's some pictures from the big Two-year-old celebration at Red Robin and also some pictures from last year's One-year-old celebration to comopare how much the girls have changed. Boy have they changed! This year Maddie's new baby brother Karson joined us too.

Happy 2nd birthday Maddie and Camryn!

The big-shot two-year-olds!

This ice cream rocks!

Now some pictures from when they were ONE!
