Macey - 2 Months

Macey's 2 months stats
weight: 10 lbs 2 oz
length: almost 24 inches
head: 15 inches
She's smiling a bunch, coo-ing and recognizes Andy, Camryn and I. She's in her crib, but not sleeping the nights yet. I have high hopes that I'll get a stretch more than 3.5 hours sometime soon. That's the she's (and I've) slept at a time since she's been born. Thank God for coffee!

Her well-child check of course ended with shots. She squeeled the silent cry for about 20 minutes and then calmed down. Although I hated seeing her poked, it's much easier than taking Cami to get shots now that she understands and anticipates the poke.

After Macey's well-child check I got a call from Detroit Children's Hospital. They confirmed that all Macey's tests came back clear for SCADD! Praise God! She is just a carrier of the gene which made her tests spike a bit. Her diagnosis level is so low that they they are closing her file and no follow up is needed. Such great news!

And to finish our day, she had her biggest blow-out diaper yet filling the entire backside of her onesie. It was definitely bathtime after that one. What a day!

We love you so much Macey! You bring such joy to our lives. Big sis Cami still can't get enough kisses. Mommy just loves to smell and kiss your head of hair and Daddy enjoys putting you to sleep on his chest - your favorite snuggle spot in the evening. Love you Macey Lynn and we are so looking forward to watching you grow!

Relaxing over break

As usual, we had a really busy holiday break but it was so great seeing all our family and friends. I'm still on maternity leave, and with Andy on Christmas break we enjoyed a lot of family time over the last couple weeks.

Macey is growing and changing daily. She's recognizing Andy and I and is giving us big smiles, although I'm still having a hard time capturing on camera. There's one below of her and big sis where she's beaming. These are some of my favorites.

And here's some of Cami, my little camera princess.
